Chicago City Council Declares ‘Ann S Jhin’ Day

Jinny’s CEO is honored by the Chicago City Council. The Chicago City Council held a public meeting on January 17, 2013 during which they unanimously declared January 19 as ‘Ann S Jhin’ Day.

Ann S Jhin is the CEO of Jinny Beauty Supply. Richard Mell, a city council member, had originally nominated the notion of ‘Ann S Jhin’ Day and Rahm Emanuel, the city mayor, agreed and signed off. This is the first time that the Chicago city council has chosen a Korean person to be honored with a day of observation. Ann S. Jhin operates a successful company and volunteers in many ways for the community. Through the “US-Korea Friendship Network” Ann S. Jhin has donated 500 pieces of winter clothing to the homeless and is still doing other good deeds to the community.

Jinny United Opens in THE BIG APPLE!!

Jinny Beauty International Export in Manhattan, New York!

Jinny United has announced its new opening of their Jinny Beauty International Export sales office in the heart of Manhattan, New York.  The actual opening will be some time in November 2012.

Eddie Jhin, President of Jinny United states, “Ever since year 2000, our company has always wanted to venture into this market.  The focus of this sales office is to expand the brands to new vendors and to introduce new products that we carry to the international countries and to the OTC beauty supply stores in the New York market. Our goal is to grow this market like what we have done in Miami (both domestically and internationally) since year 2004.”

In a down market, Jinny United is aggressively being proactive.  Jhin adds, “We are not looking to make sales revenue right now, but as with everything we do, our main interest is in building a stronger foundation or bridge for the future of this whole multi-cultural industry. My father has taught me the difference in making money vs. building wealth; one involves oneself vs. building with many others.”  Jinny United will always do their best to involve our customers and vendors to grow all together!!!

New JBS Hair Policy

To Our Valued JBS Exclusive Dealers,

First of all, we would like to say thank you for supporting our brands and we wish that you will continue to be part of our JBShair Exclusive member in the future as well.

Starting April 1st of 2012, we have made some changes to our company policy that you need to be aware of.  These changes were mainly made due to issues in China and what is happening in America and Europe as well.

We strongly believe that these changes will bring out the best for our customers and this will enhance the growth of our brands in your stores this year.

1.    Every single JBShair dealers MUST make 100% margin on all our brands.

JBSHair Company firmly believes in our brands for its quality. We believe that our quality of our hair pieces and its packaging is the best in the country at its price.  We will CUT OFF any dealers that we find that is discounting on prices, any type of percentages taken off to the end consumers and to the hair stylists as well.  The main desire is to have our dealers to make your full 100% margins on all our brands.

 

2.    We will not open any new accounts until October 2012 – We believe that JBSHair has protected our current dealers much more than any other hair importers.  Now we want to support your stores even more by letting you know that we will not open any new dealers until October 2012.  Our desire is to let our current dealers to know that we want to fully support them and work with you much more closely than ever before.

3.    Store Advertisement – JBS HAIR will start to advertise our current dealer’s exact store location to the end consumers and to the stylists this year.  There will be many ways in which we could bring new consumers to your store to purchase not just our JBSHair brands but purchase other things in your store.  We simply want to increase your sales in your store to create a win situation so that we both can win together.

 

4.    Each store is required to order $2500 every month. Previously our requirement amount was only $1500 per month but we had no choice but to increase this sales number for various reasons.  The biggest reason is the lack of the raw materials in China.  We simply cannot get enough hair at this moment.  So as of April 1st, this amount has to be spent every MONTH in order to keep your hair account opened. If not, the system will automatically close your account. If you cannot meet this amount, we fully understand your situation because we know how hard it is right now also we are aware that you have so many other brands to choose from besides JBShair brands.   We would take our brands from your store and give you your money back.  But please know that our only desire is to support the dealers with enough inventories of hair and no other bad intention.

Exciting news this year!!!!   We will be introducing several new brands that NO OTHER major hair importers have shown thus far and we believe that this will be a very new concept to our existing dealers.  We are very excited about these two new brands and they will come out sometime in August of this year.

At the same time we believe that our new brand TruHair will be a huge brand this year and we have this brand in stock currently.

Jinny Manhattan Grand Opening Party

 

Jinny Corp. celebrated the grand opening of its Jinny Manhattan location on December 8, 2012 at the Nomad Hotel in New York City. Gathering with a number of manufacturing partners and friends, the company excitedly embarked on its latest development, eager for what is to come in the future.

Eddie Jhin, President of Jinny United gave a speech at the event. Here is the text of speech:

I am honored that you have taken your time to come to the grand opening of our Jinny Beauty International sales office!!! Of all the locations that we have opened thus far, I am most excited about this particular location and the city. I think we have planted a very good seed which will grow into something very special in the years to come!!!

As we have accomplished in Miami since 2004 until now and still we have our remaining competition in business is a true testimony how Jinny grew the whole Caribbean international business.

Building an international business, like all business, takes time but most importantly they have to trust you and this is what we plan to do for all 53 countries in Africa, parts of the Middle Eastern countries and European countries as well.

With your support and guidance, I know for a fact, together we can make this much bigger than what it was in 2012. The ball is in your court always, Jinny is a distributor who opens new warehouses in places where we feel that the brands in our warehouses need to somehow get to the ultimate deserving consumers. We have done exactly this in places like Oakland, California. Jinny will not quit and we are running out of time in America. Before our economy gets better and stronger, we need to open more places to avoid higher building prices and the overhead costs, and to be firmly ready when our country rebounds stronger than ever before!!!!

But at the end of the day, we are just a good logistical warehouse, shipping products from point A to point B. The day that we can sit down together and really consider each other as our own true partners…this is what we need to strive for in the future and this would be a good dream to have.

I am a firm believer that a dream written down with a date becomes a goal, a goal broken down into steps becomes a plan, and a plan backed by action makes your dreams come true!!!

Grand Opening of Jinny Houston

On July 4, 2011 Jinny Corporation officially opened its newest branch in Houston, Texas. This date has a special meaning to Jinny members due to the fact that it’s not just the national holiday, but it’s also the birthday of the Jinny United founder, Mr.Tae Hoon Jhin.

 

“We have opened this branch in less than one month and we have outdone ourselves this time around,” Eddie Jhin stated. “We want to be able to service our current customers and hopefully new customers in the Houston region with better service, which they deserve now and into the future. With the new Houston branch now open, our Dallas branch can focus more into the Dallas market much better than before and this is our ultimate goal.”
“I give my full respect to our employees that have made this happen for the company,” Jhin added.

Jinny Corporation plans to open one more new branch in Oakland, California later this year and several new branches in year 2012. “Our three year plan has been already mapped out in detail and we are revising our plan on a monthly basis in order to make it better and risk free,” Jhin stated.

As the legendary football coach Vince Lombardi once said, “dictionary is the only place where you will find the word success before the word work.”

“We believe in this same philosophy and we make sure that everyone who works for our companies put this to action in their daily lives,” Jhin explained. “Only hard work will make the impossible into reality and everything will come out at the end.”

Mrs. Ann Jhin named President of TDPR Committee

 

Mrs. Ann Jhin of Jinny Corporation has been appointed as the President of 15th Democratic Peace Reunification Committee in Chicago, Illinois.

The Democratic Peace Reunification Committee in Chicago was established in early 1980 as a national institution under the Constitution, dedicated to realizing people’s hope and passion for the reunification of Korea. The committee will participate in counseling and giving advice in regards to the President’s policy on reunification under the Constitution and advocate reunification campaigns and movements on-line and off-line.

Mrs. Ann Jhin will be the first female president in the Chicago region. The committee represents over 13 Mid-West states. The presidential term is two years.

Dallas & Houston Team Building Time

On September 9-11, Jinny Dallas/Houston staff members took a field trip to Galveston, Texas in appreciation for their hard work in opening its Houston Jinny branch.

The trip was packed with fun and much deserved relaxation that they all deserved.

Eddie Jhin stated, “This type of gathering builds good workmanship of bonding with one another in a way that cannot be done in the office environment. The key to our future success is in our level entry Jinny staff members and how their managers can and will support and serve its members.”

How to Increase Your Beauty Supply Store Business in Hard Times

Hello to all OTC store owners and its staff members:

When you read the title to this article, it states “beauty supply” in bold, and when you had to describe in the lease agreement what your business was, what did you put?

Almost 99 percent wrote down that your business is a beauty supply store. Even your outdoor sign on the store generally states “Beauty Supply” as well. For some odd reason, the selection and inventory levels of our beauty supply and beauty general merchandises in OTC stores are shrinking at an alarming speed over the past several years.
There may be good reasons why the OTC beauty supply stores have decreased their selection of goods and I am sure they knew what they were doing at that time. Still the fact remains that if you look inside at a very successful beauty supply store in any major city or small rural town, these stores have one thing in common; they have concentrated on the wide selection of beauty supplies and beauty general merchandise in their stores.
I am fully aware that buying many brands of hair, fashion, custom general merchandise and shoes has become the major focus for OTC stores. Our company sells them as well due to high demand from our customers. Many OTC store owners proudly state that their hair sales make up 60 to 70 percent of their store sales per month and now some stores state that shoe sales make up 10 to 20 percent of sales per month. We must not forget the main reason that your consumers come to your store is to buy a necessary gel, oil sheen or simple hair pin. It is the same reason we go to grocery store – to buy milk, orange juice and eggs. This is the reason why every single grocery store places these products all the way in the back. It causes us to walk down the aisles and pick up other things along the way.
I am a strong believer in carrying a wide selection of beauty supplies and beauty general merchandise for the OTC beauty supply stores who want to succeed and weather these hard economic times with ease. This is not because our company has the most selection in the country, nor am I suggesting that you should purchase through our company at all. Some 30 years ago, our predecessors before us gave us a great business model that even today, no single major retail chain competes with our OTC Beauty Supply stores head on.
We all need to regroup, think about our current status and be different in times of trouble. Make small changes to your store; for example, on every order you place with your chosen distributor invest $100 to $200 dollars on items that you never carried before. These small changes will definitely help increase your sales in coming months. Lastly, nobody likes change, but those who take the initiative will be able to rise from this economic downturn. Not everyone is created equal, but we all have the same opportunity to change for the better. Thank you for your time.

Jinny’s Expansion Speech by Eddie Jhin

Thank you for coming to all of Jinny spring trade shows. I hope that these shows have benefited all of us in this tough economy.

My announcement today is to inform our industry members that in 2011 Jinny Corp will expand into multiple territories. I strongly feel that in order to lift our whole industry into a higher level, one must act now!!!

I am aware that our country’s economy is surely recovering but I feel that it will take another 12 to 14 months in order for the unemployment rate to come down and to have a much stronger economy. When the economy is booming, a great company will make a bundle of cash, but when the economy is in depression, this is the time for a bundle of great opportunities that you will not see for another 10 to 15 years.

Currently our JINNY CORPORATION is not a national company because we are not located in cities or regions that we can deliver the goods the very same day nor the next day.

As years pass by, the costs of labor and transportation will definitely rise and in order to combat this, we need to more efficient and be located strategically in certain cities in order to save all related costs and to be able to service our current and future customers the very same day.

Our ultimate goal is to provide the widest selection of products with the lowest out of stock ratio in the world. I am a firm believer that the past history of a person or an organization ALWAYS predicts the future of that particular person or that organization. In the locations where our company has opened in the past, Atlanta, Miami, Dallas and Los Angeles, we have proven to all our vendors and our customers that we have increased the awareness of your products and has tremendously increased the performance of all other related distributors in every way.

Thus combined together, we have made our ethnic industry stronger and better than ever before!!! This was done through ACTION and SACRIFICE that Jinny has made to make it all possible for all of us. Several things for certain is that NO ONE is going to give you anything for FREE, you must earn it. Also in our great nation, I realize that being number one in your industry can be taken away the very next day if you lose your focus. Only through the fear of losing and never being satisfied with any accomplishments made in the past will keep you at the top forever.

So to conclude, I ask my fellow vendors, industry leaders and members to look beyond your current status and dream something bigger and better in everything that you do and touch. After all, its FREE to dream!!! Thank you for your time.

Brittany Beauty Club Opens in Mexico City

On December 12th, 2009, after five months of hard work led by the Jinny management team

and its Brittany Beauty Club (BBC) Mexican staff members, has opened the largest cash and carry of beauty care and general merchandise center in all of Mexico.

The location is in the center of Mexico City where the population is little more 22 million people. Mr Eddie Jhin, President of Jinny Corp (USA), “The biggest reason why I opened BBC in Mexico is largely due to its population of people and their purchasing power of beauty care needs.” “If done right, I feel that this market will be larger than what we have in America within ten years.”

He adds, “we have done business with Mexican people on the border zones in Mexico prior to opening there, but doing business in Mexico is very different than anything I have ever done before and it is very hard to understand their system because it changes so rapidly but overall it has given our company a new challenge and new opportunities in which we will reap the benefits down the road and we have enough resources and time to see this business grow.” “My expectation of BBC in Mexico was not to be successful quickly but to plant a seed and to watch it grow with patience in mind.”

storeJinny’s aggressive future plan in Mexico is a 10 year plan with the possibility of opening more BBC operations every two years. Eddie Jhin states, “ Our top BBC staff members in Mexico and top managers from America visiting one another back and forth from time to time to review and to support one another, we have a very good chance of overcoming any barriers that lies ahead of us down the road.”

Final note, Jinny’s major objective is that once BBC (Mexico operation) becomes fully aware of its surroundings and in learning and getting to know its market and its Mexican consumers , Jinny would like to bring both manufacturers in Mexico and the vendors from America to cross the borders so both sides would be able to open many more channels that they may not have existed before thus making the beauty market much bigger for the whole industry.
