Mrs. Ann Jhin of Jinny Corporation has been appointed as the President of 15th Democratic Peace Reunification Committee in Chicago, Illinois.

The Democratic Peace Reunification Committee in Chicago was established in early 1980 as a national institution under the Constitution, dedicated to realizing people's hope and passion for the reunification of Korea. The committee will participate in counseling and giving advice in regards to the President's policy on reunification under the Constitution and advocate reunification campaigns and movements on-line and off-line.

Mrs. Ann Jhin will be the first female president in the Chicago region. The committee represents over 13 Mid-West states. The presidential term is two years.

제 15기민주평화통일자문회의  시카고지역협의회(이하 시카고 평통)

회장으로 JINNY CORPORATION 진안순 회장이 임명됐다.

헌법기관으로서 민주평화통일자문회의는 국민의 통일의지와 역량을 결집하여

민족의 염원인 평화통일을 구체적으로 실천하고자하는 시대적 상황과 국민적

여망으로 인해 1980년대 초반에 범국민적 통일기구로 설립되었다.

민주 평통은 대통령의 통일정책 전반에 대한 자문 및 건의 기능을 적극 수행하며

 통일에 관한 범국민적  합의조성과 범민족적 역량 결집을 위해 '통일시대를 열어가는 국민운동의

중심체'로서의 헌법이 부여한 책무를 감당해 나가며 온라인과 오프라인을 통해

 전 국민의 참여를 유도하고 통일의지를 확산해 나가는 범국민적 통일인식 확산

운동에 힘쓰게 될것이다. 

오는 7월 공식 출범하는 제 15기 민주 평통에서 진안순 회장은 시카고 최초의 여성 회장으로

앞으로 2년간 시카고 및 미중서부 13개 주를 대표해 활동하게된다.
